Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedHalcones UV Xalapa (19-8) defeated 12th ranked Mineros (10-17) in Zacatecas 80-72 on Friday. American-Georgian guard Thad McFadden (188-1987, college: Fairmont St.) notched 19 points to lead the effort and Jamaican-American guard Sek Henry (193-1987, college: Nebraska) supported him with 15 points. Even 20 points and 5 assists by Armenian-American guard Andre Spight (191-1995, college: N.Colorado) did not help to save the game for Mineros . South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (210-1987, college: UConn) added 9 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halc.Xalapa moved-up to third place. Mineros lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Freseras.
