The game had a very big importance for third-rankedSan Salvador as it allowed them to take a leadership position. San Salvador defeated 8th ranked Brujos at home 96-87 . San Salvador outrebounded Brujos 52-40 including a 40-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Salvador shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Brujos ' players. It was a great evening for power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Puerto Rican power forward Owens Perez (206-1992) helped adding 25 points and 10 rebounds. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. American guard Marcus Millien (188-2000, college: Carlow) responded with 32 points and 9 rebounds and Gustavo Galdamez (190-1996) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Brujos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with seven games lost.
