We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when second-rankedVerano (2-5) lost at home to third ranked Santiago Basket (4-5) 109-97 on Saturday. American guard Jalen Crowder (196, college: Lees-McRae) nailed 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Christian Colston (183-1995, college: Concordia, TX) accounted for 22 points and 8 rebounds. Raul Torres (182-2005) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Jevier Perez added 21 points respectively for Verano in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Verano's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Santiago Basket moved-up to second place which they share with defeated Verano . Verano lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the second position with five games lost.
