San Pablo Burgos - Quimsa 82-73

San Pablo Burgos are 2021 FIBA Intercontinental Cup champions. They overcame Quimsa in Buenos Aires on Saturday to celebrate the trophy. Vitor Benite (192-SG-90) scored 19 points to pace the Spanish team. He was named the MVP.
Burgos got to a confident start. The European team sank 25 points in the first period to take a 5-point lead. They added 31 points in the second quarter to stay in charge. Burgos ensured a 56-32 halftime lead. Quimsa however improved defensively in the third term. The Argentinean team limited their opponents to just 11 points in the period to pull within 12 points at the final break. Quimsa held Burgos to 15 points in the fourth quarter but could not overcome the deficit as Burgos rallied to the victory. Thaddus McFadden (188-G-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 16 points for the winners. Brandon Robinson (196-SG-89, college: Clayton St.) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds for Quimsa. Alejandro Diez (201-F-87) had 11 points in the loss.
