Galvanini's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

25-year old Gabriel Galvanini (202-SF-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Hebraica (#3, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team in overtime 92-87. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamengo to take over top position in the Basketball Champions League Americas. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Flamengo won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Third place about best performers goes to another Flamengo's star - guard Gui Pereira (192-G-1991). Pereira scored 21 points and passed four assists. He was another key player of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, helping his team with a 92-87 overtime win against #3 ranked Hebraica in a game of the week. Flamengo has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Pereira also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats.
