The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Argentinian Obras (1-1) in Sao Paulo on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Brazilian Vivo/Franca (2-0) 94-87. Obras trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 29-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 87-94 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was center Lucas Silva (208-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Venezuelan point guard Heissler Guillent (186-1986) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994) who recorded 23 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
