Argentinian Forward Franco Giorgetti (203-F-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Nacional De Futbol Montevideo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Sao Paulo (#3, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 89-84. Nacional consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won their first game. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Smith is a newcomer at Nacional, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 5.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995, agency: Pro Sports) of league's second-best Gladiadores de Anzoategui. Sifontes scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Gladiadores, leading his team to a 82-76 win against #3 ranked Halc.Xalapa. Gladiadores has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Sifontes also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Sifontes as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
