Silva's 26 points give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

28-year old center Lucas Silva (208-C-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Sesi Franca Basquete Sao Paulo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Sesi Franca in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Concepcion (#3, 0-4) with 22-point margin 109-87. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Vivo/Franca to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Americas. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Sesi Franca already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Silva had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Vivo/Franca, through which he has constantly improved. Silva has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.5ppg. Second best performed player last round was Marquez Letcher-Ellis (203-F-1997) of CD Universidad de Concepcion. He is American forward in his first season at Concepcion. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Concepcion still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Letcher-Ellis is a newcomer at Concepcion and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Concepcion's star - forward Derrick Woods (203-F-1996, agency: SLN). Woods scored 24 points. Despite Woods' great performance the CD Universidad de Concepcion lost 87-109 to #1 ranked Sesi Franca. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Concepcion can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Woods has a very solid season.
