Experienced American Malcolm Miller (201-G-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for Sao Paulo FC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 32-year old guard had the game-high 19 points adding four rebounds and six assists for Sao Paulo in his team's victory, helping them to crush Nacional (#2, 3-3) with 17-point margin 93-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sao Paulo maintains the 3rd position in Basketball Champions League Americas . Sao Paulo is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Miller had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. It's his second year at Sao Paulo and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Malcolm Miller averages just after two games 7.5ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Wayne Langston (200-F-1993) of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires. Langston impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Boca lost that game 79-87 to slightly higher-ranked Flamengo (#1, 5-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Boca still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Boca managed to get this year. Langston is a newcomer at Boca and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was American Devon Scott (206-F/C-1994) of top-ranked Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. Scott scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Flamengo, leading his team to a 87-79 win against #3 ranked Boca. Flamengo confirms their top position in the standings. Scott has a very solid season. In 3 games in Basketball Champions League Americas he scored 11.3ppg.

4. Lucas Siewert (208-F-1997) of Sao Paulo - 19 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
