Anderson's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

30-year old American power forward Eric Anderson (204-F/C-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Nacional De Futbol Montevideo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Quimsa (#1, 3-2) 78-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Nacional is placed at 2nd position in Basketball Champions League Americas. Nacional is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. Anderson turned to be Nacional's top player in his first season with the team. New Haven University graduate has very impressive stats this year. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Flamengo consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Goncalves is a newcomer at Flamengo and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to another Flamengo's star - guard Gui Pereira (192-G-1991). Pereira scored 17 points. He was another key player of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, helping his team with a 111-76 easy win against #2 ranked Hebraica. Flamengo confirms their top position in the standings. Pereira has a very solid season. In 2 games in Basketball Champions League Americas he scored 14.5ppg.
