The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Argentinian Instituto in Cordoba on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Brazilian Vivo/Franca 81-76. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 29-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Vivo/Franca made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Guard Didi Louzada (195-1999) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) responded with 20 points. Quimsa's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Quimsa - Minas 73-84

An interesting game for Brazilian Minas which played road game in Santiado del Estero against Argentinian Quimsa. Minas managed to get a 11-point victory 84-73. It looked good early as Quimsa took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Minas took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 11 points. They made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Quimsa was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-1994) scored 17 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican Luis Montero (203-1993, college: South Plains) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Minas players scored in double figures. Guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) responded with 20 points and guard Nicolas Romano (200-1987) scored 18 points. Quimsa's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
