American Guard Charles Hinkle (198-G-1988) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 36-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, four rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Los Leones (#3, 0-1) with 24-point margin 88-64. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Vivo/Franca to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Americas. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Sesi/Franca won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. It's Hinkle's second year at Vivo/Franca and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Charles Hinkle averages just after two games 12.5ppg and 5.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Andres Ibarguen (200-F-1996, agency: Helping Ballers) of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires. Ibarguen had a very good evening with 20 points and 3 rebounds. Bad luck as Boca was edged by Flamengo (1-0) 70-69. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Ibarguen is a newcomer at Boca, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#1).

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Nathan Mariano (206-F/C-2003) of league's top team Sesi/Franca Sao Paulo. Mariano scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Vivo/Franca, leading his team to a 88-64 easy win against #3 ranked Los Leones in a game of the week. Sesi/Franca has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Mariano also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Mariano has a very solid season. In 2 games in Basketball Champions League Americas he scored 9.5ppg.
