Alexey Borges (185-PG-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 29-year old playmaker had the game-high 17 points adding six assists for Flamengo in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Boca (#2, 1-2) with 35-point margin 96-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamengo to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Americas. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Flamengo already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Borges had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Flamengo's top player in his first season with the team. Borges has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 7.3apg) and averages solid 2.3spg,61.9% FGP and 53.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Agustin Perez (192-G-1999) of Quimsa Santiago del Estero. Perez impressed basketball fans with 22 points and 2 assists. Bad luck as Quimsa lost that game 69-80 to league's leader Minas (#1, 4-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Quimsa still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. 3 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Perez is a newcomer at Quimsa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#1).

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Luis Montero (203-SF-1993) of top-ranked Minas Belo Horizonte. Montero scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Minas, leading his team to a 80-69 win against #3 ranked Quimsa. Minas started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Montero turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Montero has a great season in Basketball Champions League Americas. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 9.8rpg (2nd best).

4. Tavario Miller (203-C-1994) of Quimsa - 11 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jordan Williams (196-G/F-1992) of Flamengo - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
