Best players of Basketball Champions League Americas round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

Alexey Borges (185-PG-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 29-year old playmaker had the game-high 17 points adding six assists for Flamengo in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Boca (#2, 1-2) with 35-point margin 96-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Flamengo to consolidate first place in the Basketball Champions League Americas. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Flamengo already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Borges had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Flamengo's top player in his first season with the team. Borges has impressive league stats. The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Luis Montero (203-SF-1993) of top-ranked Minas Belo Horizonte. Montero scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Minas, leading his team to a 80-69 win against #3 ranked Quimsa. Minas started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Montero turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title.
