What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
An interesting game for Argentinian Quimsa (1-3) which played road game in Montevideo against second-ranked Uruguayan Bigua (1-3). Third ranked Quimsa managed to get a 13-point victory 79-66. Bigua was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 27-13 charge of Quimsa, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Nicolas Romano (200-1987) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Guard Agustin Perez (192-1999) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Armenian-American guard Andre Spight (191-1995, college: N.Colorado) replied with 21 points for Bigua. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quimsa left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with defeated Bigua. It was Bigua's third loss in a row.
An interesting game for Argentinian Boca (2-2) which played road game in David against one of their biggest challengers Panamanian Toros (0-4). Second ranked Boca had an easy win 83-63. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Martin Cuello (193-1993) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and Jose Vildoza who added 15 points during the contest. Boca's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Michael Hicks (196-1976, college: TAMUCC) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Defending Argentinian champion maintains second position with 2-2 record having just six point less than leader Sesi/Franca, which they share with Instituto. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Los Leones.
