Experienced Santiago Scala (186-G-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Boca Juniors Buenos Aires and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 33-year old guard had the game-high 14 points adding four rebounds and eight assists for Boca in his team's victory, helping them to crush Flamengo (#1, 4-1) with 25-point margin 96-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Boca is placed at 2nd position in Basketball Champions League Americas. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Boca will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Scala as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Scala has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (6th best: 5.4apg) and averages solid 56.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Boca's star - young point guard Jose Vildoza (191-PG-1996, agency: Octagon Europe). Vildoza impressed basketball fans with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Scala he helped Boca Juniors Buenos Aires with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Flamengo (#1, 4-1) 96-71. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Boca consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Vildoza is well-known by Boca fans and together with Santiago Scala they both established positions among team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Gui Pereira (192-G-1991) of top-ranked Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. Pereira scored 22 points. Despite Pereira's great performance the Flamengo lost 71-96 to #2 ranked Boca. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Flamengo had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Pereira's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Pereira has a very solid season. In 2 games in Basketball Champions League Americas he scored 14.5ppg.

4. Martin Cuello (193-F/G-1993) of Boca - 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
