Dominican forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-F-1997, college: USC Aiken) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 48 points he had in the Lebanese league. Castillo graduated from University of South Carolina - Aiken in 2021. His excellent performance made his team Mayrouba beat the Homentmen 96 to 88. He also grabbed 9 rebounds and got 5 assists that game. Among many awards he played in the final of the Dominican Republic Santiago League in 2022. Castillo was also selected as the NJCAA D1 All-Region 17 Defensive Player of the Year as well as the All-Region 17 First Team and the All-Defensive Team back in 2019. He was selected to the Latinbasket All-Dominican Republic TBS Second Team back in 2021. Interesting fact as Castillo had played in three different colleges in the US in his career.
