Instituto was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jose Vildoza (191-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. Guard Santiago Scala (186-1991) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Uruguayan-Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Bautista Lugarini (203-2001) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Instituto.

Flamengo - Sesi/Franca 91-67

The game was mostly controlled by Flamengo. Vivo/Franca managed to win fourth quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flamengo dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Vivo/Franca's 26. Point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) fired 24 points and 9 assists for the winners. American guard Shaquille Johnson (191-1990, college: Marshall) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. Flamengo's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) produced 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-1988, college: American) added 14 points respectively for lost side.
