Experienced American Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for CD Universidad de Concepcion and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 32-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Univ.Concepcion in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Sesi/Franca (#1, 4-2) 80-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Univ.Concepcion maintains the 3rd position in Basketball Champions League Americas . The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 4 games and had just one victory. It's Maxwell's second year at Univ.Concepcion and it's hard to imagine this team without him. California State University Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Maxwell is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.0ppg. Maxwell is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 57.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center James Feldeine (193-C-1988) of league's best team Nacional De Futbol Montevideo. Feldeine impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course Nacional cruised to a 89-79 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Flamengo (#2, 2-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Nacional consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Feldeine is well-known by Nacional fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Nacional's star - American Connor Zinaich (201-F-1997). Zinaich scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Nacional De Futbol Montevideo, helping his team with a 77-73 win against #3 ranked Obras. Nacional started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Zinaich turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Zinaich has a great season in Basketball Champions League Americas. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (#1 in league).
