The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Belize City D. is placed at 2nd position in Belizean NEBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Belize City D. will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Leslie had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old international guard Devin Daly (195-G-94) of Smart Belize H.. Daly had a very good evening with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Smart Belize H. was edged by slightly higher-ranked Belize City D. (2-2) 76-72. This loss caused Smart Belize H. to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Daly is one of the most experienced players at Smart Belize H. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 4.0apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was another Dream Ballers' star - guard Edgar Mitchell (G). Mitchell showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, five rebounds and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Dream Ballers, helping his team with a 79-66 easy win against #2 ranked San Pedro T. in a game of the week. Dream Ballers confirms their top position in the standings.
