Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Top ranked San Pedro T. (8-2) recorded its second loss in Belize City on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Smart Belize H. (4-3) 80-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Pedro T.. Smart Belize H. shot 27 for 42 from the free-throw line, while San Pedro T. only scored five points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by San Pedro T. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Akeem Watters (186-95) who scored 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. International Brian White (196-95, college: Wesley) chipped in 11 points and 18 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Martevuius Adams who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Smart Belize H. maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. San Pedro T. at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Smart Belize H. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Orange Walk RR (#7) in the next round. San Pedro T. will have a break next round.

It was a good game for American forward Nigel Jones (200-90, college: Talladega) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Darwin Leslie contributed with 18 points for the winners. American center James Ewing (198-90, college: Mercyhurst) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for Orange Walk RR. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Belize City D. maintains third place with 5-2 record having 3 victories less than leader San Pedro T. Orange Walk RR at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Belize City D. will play against Belmopan B. (#6) on the road in the next round. Orange Walk RR will play against Smart Belize H. in Belize City and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 9 Belmopan B. was defeated by Dream Ballers in a road game 83-75.

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Belmopan B. (2-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Dream Ballers (6-1) 83-75. Dream Ballers outrebounded Belmopan B. 44-31 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for guard Daniel Nolberto who led his team to a victory with 23 points. D Conorque contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dream Ballers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Farron Louriano (198-89) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Travis Lennan added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Belmopan B.Dream Ballers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Dream Ballers maintains second place with 6-1 record having five points less than leader San Pedro T. Belmopan B. lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Dream Ballers will play against Verdes (#5) in the next round. Belmopan B. will play against Belize City D. and hopes to get back on the winning track.

DANIEL CONORQUE International Guard Daniel Conorque (193-G-91) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Dream Ballers, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat San Pedro T. (#2, 3-2) 79-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Belize City: Defenders (#6) and Hurricanes (#4).
