Smart Belize H. - Dream Ballers 80-65

Smart Belize rallied past Dream Ballers in the opener. Hurricanes players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Guard Devin Daley nailed 23 points for the winning side and international point guard Glency Lopez accounted for 16 points and 9 assists. Hurricanes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Tahj Wells (208-89, college: Edward Waters) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and guard Edgar Mitchell added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Dream Ballers in the defeat.

San Pedro T. - Belize City D. 83-81

San Pedro held off Belize City to take the lead in the semifinal series. Tigersharks dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Defenders' 40. Tigersharks forced 23 Defenders turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Defenders helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Martevuius Adams stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American guard Jihad Wright (193, college: UNC Pembroke) chipped in 21 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 blocks. Four Tigersharks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Darwin Leslie (191-81) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

DANIEL CONORQUE International Guard Daniel Conorque (193-G-91) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Dream Ballers, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat San Pedro T. (#2, 3-2) 79-66. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Belize City: Defenders (#6) and Hurricanes (#4). DOUGLAS VALLEY 23-year old forward Douglas Valley (194-F-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked San Pedro T. and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3. He had the game-high 20 points adding four rebounds for San Pedro T. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Belmopan B. (#5, 1-2) 81-69.
