The BPBL intends to put together a competitive basketball championship that includes seven teams from five districts across Belize. The seven teams confirmed for the upcoming season are: 1. San Pedro Tiger Sharks – A seasoned squad with a track record of success and fierce gameplay. 2. EZ Investments Dream Ballers – A proven force on the court, consistently delivering top-tier performances. 3. Western Ballaz – Another tested contender known for their competitive edge. 4. Belize City Thunderbolts 5. Punta Gorda Panthers 6. Capital City KingsBelize City Thunderbolts 7. Cerros Suns BPBL organizers have expressed excitement about the league’s growth, emphasizing their dedication to raising the standard of professional basketball in the country. The BPBL will be introducing The Jaguar Championship, an initiative by Hurricanes Management Initiative. The competition will feature two main cups: the Mayan Cup, covering the North-South Division Championship, and the Toucan Cup, representing the East-West Division Championship. At the end, the two champions will face off for the Jaguar Championship. Teams will be competing for impressive prizes, including $15,000 cash, 20 gold rings, and an additional $5,000 cash prize for each cup winner. With seven teams, five districts, and two divisions leading to three championships, this year’s BPBL season promises fierce competition.
