ECL Round 6: Storm lose against Falcons - Oct 30, 2017

The biggest surprise took place in where host Falcons (6-2) beat league's leader Storm (6-2) 72-56 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Storm. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Falcons moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Storm. Storm will play next round against league's leader Panthers trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Falcons will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Lions at home.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Falcons (6-2) against sixth ranked Warriors (4-5) on Wednesday night. Visiting Falcons were defeated by Warriors in a tough game on the road 103-111. Warriors maintains sixth position with 4-5 record. Falcons at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Storm. Warriors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Falcons will play against Lions and hope to get back on the winning track.
Second ranked Panthers faced 4th ranked Hornets. Guests from (7-2) smashed host Hornets (5-5) 80-60. Panthers keep a position of league leader. Loser Hornets keep the fourth place with five games lost. Panthers will meet at home Storm (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hornets will play against Marksmen and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 6 Renegades were defeated by Hornets in a road game 54-45.

Hornets - Panthers 60-80

Second ranked Panthers faced 4th ranked Hornets. Guests from (7-2) smashed host Hornets (5-5) 80-60. Panthers keep a position of league leader. Loser Hornets keep the fourth place with five games lost. Panthers will meet at home Storm (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hornets will play against Marksmen and hope to secure a win.

Renegades lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with five games lost. Hornets will meet bottom-ranked Marksmen (#8) in the next round. Renegades will play against the league's leader Panthers and hope to win that game.
