BBA Round 11: Top-ranked Devonshire C. wins another game - Apr 8, 2018

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in BBA. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

BBA top team - Devonshire C. (14-0) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked Southampton TC (6-9) 68-59. Undefeated Devonshire C. have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Southampton TC at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Hamilton CT. Devonshire C. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Somerset T. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Southampton TC will play against Paget F. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Paget F. (9-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Smith's Wcats (2-11). Paget F. smashed Smith's Wcats 62-41. Paget F. maintains fourth place with 9-6 record. Smith's Wcats lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Paget F. will play against Southampton TC (#7) in the next round. Smith's Wcats will play against Hamilton CT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Warwick RR (10-5) played at the court of 5th ranked Hamilton PR (8-8). Warwick RR smashed Hamilton PR 63-37 on Monday. Warwick RR moved-up to second place, which they share with Somerset T. Hamilton PR lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Warwick RR will meet Smith's Wcats (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Hamilton PR will have a break next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: Southampton TC was beaten by Somerset T. on the road 63-53. Somerset T. won against Pembroke S. on its own court 65-59. Hamilton CT managed to outperform Pembroke S. in a road game 62-54. Somerset T. managed to beat Hamilton PR at home 65-53.



Warwick RR - Hamilton PR 81-42

The game between third ranked Warwick RR (10-5) and 5th ranked Hamilton PR (8-8) in ended with biggest points difference. Warwick RR outscored guests from 81-42. Warwick RR moved-up to second place, which they share with Somerset T. Hamilton PR lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Warwick RR's next round opponent will be Smith's Wcats (#8) which should be theoretically another easy game.

Somerset T. - Southampton TC 63-53

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Somerset T. (10-5) beat at home 6th ranked Southampton TC (6-9) 63-53. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Somerset T.. They maintain second place with 10-5 record having three points less than leader Devonshire C., which they share with Warwick RR. Southampton TC at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Somerset T.'s next round opponent will be league's leader Devonshire C. and it will be for sure the game of the week. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Somerset T.. They maintain second place with 10-5 record having three points less than leader Devonshire C., which they share with Warwick RR. Pembroke S. lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Somerset T.'s next round opponent will be league's leader Devonshire C. and it will be for sure the game of the week.
