BBA Round 8: Devonshire C. defeats leader Hamilton CT - Jul 17, 2018

The Regular Season in BBA just ended. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Hamilton CT (12-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Devonshire C. (11-4) 76-74. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Hamilton CT. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Devonshire C. maintains second position with 11-4 record behind leader Hamilton CT. Hamilton CT at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost.
An interesting game for Devonshire C. (11-4) which played road game in against 3rd ranked Paget F. (7-8). Second ranked Devonshire C. managed to get a 11-point victory 64-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Paget F.. Devonshire C. maintains second position with 11-4 record behind leader Hamilton CT. Paget F. at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost.
The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Warwick RR (8-7) played at the court of 6th ranked Hamilton PR (2-13). Warwick RR did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 20-0 on Wednesday. Warwick RR have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Hamilton PR lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Paget F. (7-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Hamilton PR (2-13). Paget F. smashed Hamilton PR 55-28. Paget F. have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Paget F. went down to fourth position due to points difference. Hamilton PR lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost.

In the last game of round 8 Southampton TC was beaten by Warwick RR on the road 84-66.
