Amistad Sucre (Libobasquet) added to their roster experienced 43-year old American (has also Belizean passport) forward Doug Penland (191-75). It is actually his comeback to Sucre as he has played here before. Penland played this summer at San Pedro Tigersharks in Belizean NEBL. But in 11 games he recorded just 0.7ppg and 1.1rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Penland's team won Belizean NEBL Regular Season in 2014 and 2017.
He another Bolivian team Universitario La Paz.
Penland is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Amistad.
