There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Libobasque. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Rubair defeated Penarol at home 87-80. 24 personal fouls committed by Penarol helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan guard Reimer Machado (185-89) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Venezuelan guard Gregory Curvelo (190-90) chipped in 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Rubair's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (204-91) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds for the guests.
An exciting game was played in Pichincha. La Salle Tarija faced Pichincha. Guests from Tarija (2-0) defeated host Pichincha (0-2) 87-69. Venezuelan guard Michael Flores (192-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 5 assists. Scott Sill contributed with 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Trevante Drye (199-93, college: Tulane) replied with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Pichincha. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

In the last game of round 2 winless Univ. Santa Cruz lost to undefeated AND1 La Paz in a road game 66-82.



AND1 La Paz - Univ. Santa Cruz 82-66

There was no surprise when Univ. Santa Cruz (0-2) was defeated on the road by AND1 La Paz (1-0) 82-66. AND1 La Paz forced 28 Univ. Santa Cruz turnovers. Univ. Santa Cruz was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Dariel Maza orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Cuban power forward Daniel Nembhard (204-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Diego Burgos replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and South African forward Pieter Prinsloo (208-92, college: Marist) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Univ. Santa Cruz.

MILOS PETKOVIC San Martin Corrientes (La Liga) landed 27-year old Serbian power forward Milos Petkovic (204-100kg-91). He played in the summer at Calero in Bolivian Libobasquet.
