Venezuelan Guard Michael Flores (192-G-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked La Salle Tarija, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (38 points, four rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Penarol (#4, 2-3) 105-91. It allowed La Salle Tarija to consolidate first place in the Bolivian Libobasquet. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but La Salle Tarija already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Flores had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at La Salle Tarija, through which he has constantly improved. Michael Flores has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.5ppg. Flores is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 7.0rpg), assists (4th best: 3.3apg) and averages impressive 2.3spg,51.9% FGP and 55.6% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Serbian Milos Petkovic (204-F/C-91) of Penarol. Petkovic had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Penarol lost that game 91-105 to Group B's leader La Salle Tarija (#1, 6-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Penarol still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Petkovic is one of the most experienced players at Penarol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#5). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Cuban forward Daniel Nembhard (204-F/C-91) of AND1 La Paz (#5). Nembhard got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite Nembhard's great performance AND1 La Paz lost 87-93 to slightly higher-ranked Rubair (#3, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. AND1 La Paz can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Nembhard he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Nembhard has individually a great season in Bolivia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 11.3rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gregory Curvelo (190-G-90) of Rubair - 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Khapri Alston (196-F) of Carl A-Z - 28 points and 10 rebounds
6. Trevante Drye (199-F-93) of Pichincha - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Scheraun King (196-G-87) of Carl A-Z - 35 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Cristhian Camargo (194-F-92) of Calero - 24 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Mike Liabo (198-G/F-91) of Calero - 30 points and 11 rebounds
10. Duane James (196-F-83) of Univ. Santa Cruz - 28 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
