MURILO BECKER

Pichincha de Potosi (Libobasquet) inked experienced 35-year old Brazilian ex-international power forward Murilo Becker (211-83). He played most recently at Vitoria in Brazilian NBB league. In 28 games he averaged 7.6ppg and 5.1rpg last season.
Among other achievements Becker played in the final of Liga Americas in 2016. He received also Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League 2nd Team award back in 2009 and 2014. Becker was a member of Brazilian Senior National Team between 2003 and 2011.
He is a very experienced player. Becker has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Becker has played previously professionally also in Bulgaria (Academic Sofia), Israel (Maccabi Fox Tel-Aviv), Venezuela (Trotamundos) and Brazil (Vivo/Franca, Minas, COC Ribeirao, CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro and Paschoalotto/Bauru).
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Pichincha.
Becker's game is described as: Positives: Murilo has great size for a power forward. Plays Center in Brazil and is dominant, although he is not that big. Good rebounder, runs the floor well and is quick for his size. Deals very well with bigger guys. Nice touch on short distance shots and midrange shots. Not a terrible 3pt shooter, although he doesn't shoot that much from the outside.
Negatives: Not that athletic when compared to most NBA power forwards. Does not have good size to be an NBA center, and he isn't athletic enough to guard quicker power forwards. Commits too many fouls and can easily get into foul trouble. Does not have much of a post up game
