Curvelo
28-year old guard Gregory Curvelo (190-G-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Rubair and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 45 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Univ. Santa Cruz (#5, 3-8) 96-87. Rubair is placed at 2nd position in their group in Bolivian league. Rubair is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Curvelo had a remarkable 72.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Rubair's top player in his first season with the team. Curvelo has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 27.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.2rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg and 70.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Milos Petkovic (204-F/C-91) of Penarol. He is Serbian forward in his first season at Penarol. In the last game Petkovic recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Penarol cruised to a 86-74 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Pichincha (#3, 5-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Penarol consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Petkovic is a newcomer at Penarol and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.8ppg (#5). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Michael Flores (192-G-85) of league's leader La Salle Tarija. Flores got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of La Salle Tarija, leading his team to a 108-79 easy win against the lower-ranked AND1 La Paz (#6, 1-9). Many experts and fans count La Salle Tarija as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 10 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings in Group B. Flores has a great season in Bolivia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.8ppg (best scorer). He also has 2.2spg and FGP: 57.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Scott Sill (206-F-92) of La Salle Tarija - 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Daniel Nembhard (204-F/C-91) of AND1 La Paz - 20 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Tirrell Brown (198-F-93) of Amistad - 23 points and 10 rebounds
7. Duane James (196-F-83) of Univ. Santa Cruz - 30 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Luther Page (201-F-93) of Amistad - 24 points and 4 rebounds
9. Reimer Machado (185-G-89) of Rubair - 23 points and 10 rebounds
10. Scheraun King (196-G-87) of Carl A-Z - 21 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
