Calero cruised past Rubair in the semifinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Calero. Rubair managed to win second period 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Calero forced 21 Rubair turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Mike Liabo (198-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: Prairie View A&M, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Liabo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Calero players scored in double figures. Venezuelan point guard Eduardo Rios (182-88) answered with 28 points and Venezuelan guard Reimer Machado (185-89) added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Rubair. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

La Salle Tarija held off CAN Oruro in Game 1. The game was mostly controlled by La Salle Tarija. CAN Oruro was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded CAN Oruro 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. La Salle Tarija players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by CAN Oruro's players. Venezuelan guard Michael Flores (192-85) stepped up and scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Martin Ochoa (185-94) chipped in 25 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward Howard Crawford (205-88, college: UAB) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-91, college: Jackson St.) scored 23 points and 4 steals.

The last time (18) he played at Palanga BC in Lithuanian NKL league. Fahnbulleh missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Fahnbulleh won Peruvian LNB championship title in 2015.
