Julieta Tapia claims Bolivian Libobasquet Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Julieta Tapia (172-F-2005) had an amazing evening in the last round for Potosi Mun. and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 18-year old forward had a double-double of 39 points and sixteen rebounds, while her team was edged out by the league's best team Uriona (#2, 2-0) 81-80. Potosi Mun. is placed at 6th position in Bolivian Libobasquet. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 1 games and had no victories. In the team's last game Tapia had a remarkable 60.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Potosi Mun.'s top player in her first season with the team. Tapia has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 39.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 16.0rpg. Tapia is in league's top in assists (5th best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 6.0spg and 60.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Jheraldine Pinedo of second-ranked Uriona. Pinedo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Uriona to edge Potosi Mun. (0-1) by 1 point 81-80. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Pinedo is a newcomer at Uriona and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#5). She also registered 12.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Keyla Huayllas (1993) of top-ranked Aleman. Huayllas showcased her all-around game by recording 15 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. She was a key player of Aleman, leading her team to a 93-72 easy win against Bolmar (#8, 0-2). Aleman has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Huayllas also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Huayllas as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.
