Estefany Copa claims Bolivian Libobasquet weekly honour

Estefany Copa had a great game in the last round for league's leader Uriona and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The had a double-double of 26 points and eleven rebounds, while her team beat Aleman (#4, 2-1) 83-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Uriona to jump to the first place in the Bolivian Libobasquet. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Uriona has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Copa turned to be Uriona's top player in her first season with the team. Copa has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (7th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 3.8spg and 51.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young point guard Erika Tapia (160-PG-2000) of Univ. San Simon. Tapia impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Univ. San Simon to another comfortable win outscoring Potosi Mun. (#9, 0-3) 128-66. Univ. San Simon's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 2-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Tapia is a newcomer at Univ. San Simon and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#1).

The third best performed player last round was another Univ. San Simon's star - international swingman Marcela Viscarra (169-F/G-1990). Viscarra showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. She was another key player of Univ. San Simon, helping her team with a 128-66 easy win against Potosi Mun. (#9, 0-3). Univ. San Simon needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Viscarra has a great season in Bolivia. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (8th best), rebounds with 17.0rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 6.3apg (2nd best).
