Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Club de Tenis as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Club de Tenis defeated 3rd placed Carl A-Z at home 65-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Carl A-Z. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Susana Flores (-1988) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. Chilean Guadalupe Mogro (-1999) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Club de Tenis' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Gabriela Herbas (181-2002) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds for Carl A-Z. Club de Tenis have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Carl A-Z at the other side dropped to the fifth place with one game lost. Carl A-Z will play next round against La Salle trying to get back on the winning streak. Club de Tenis will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Orca's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat La Salle (0-3) 77-45. Denisse Jofree stepped up and scored 27 points and 4 steals for the winners and Valeria Roca chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Micaela Roldan responded with 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Orca (1-2) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. It was La Salle's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Orca's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
Bottom-ranked Potosi Mun. is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Aleman (3-1) 78-74 on Saturday evening. Keyla Huayllas nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Julieta Tapia came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for Potosi Mun. in the defeat. Aleman moved-up to second place, which they share with Univ. San Simon and Uriona. Loser Potosi Mun. still closes the standings with four games lost. Aleman will meet Bolmar (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Potosi Mun. will play against Uriona and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 5 Bolmar was smashed by Univ. San Simon on the road 96-60.
The most impressive performance of 5th round was 19 points and 8 rebounds by Adriana Delgadillo of Carl A-Z.

Univ. San Simon - Bolmar 96-60

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Univ. San Simon's (3-1) home victory over 6th ranked Bolmar (1-3) 96-60 on Friday. Univ. San Simon dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bolmar's 24. Univ. San Simon forced 20 Bolmar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Bolmar's players. Point guard Shirley Jaldin (175-1995) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and point guard Erika Tapia (160-2000) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Univ. San Simon players scored in double figures. Barbara Chambi came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and Estefania Coronado added 14 points respectively for Bolmar in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Univ. San Simon have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Aleman and Uriona. Loser Bolmar dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Univ. San Simon's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
