There was a change at the Libobasquet leadership position after last games. Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Aleman (6-2). They were crushed by second ranked Univ. San Simon (6-1) 79-60 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aleman. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Univ. San Simon forced 21 Aleman turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Aleman helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international swingman Marcela Viscarra (169-1990) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international guard Danitza Parra (158-1985) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Keyla Huayllas (-1993) with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Univ. San Simon have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Aleman at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Univ. San Simon. Aleman will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Univ. San Simon will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Uriona at home.

Chilean Guadalupe Mogro (-1999) nailed 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Susana Flores accounted for 16 points. Club de Tenis' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Rhea Corchero came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for Orca in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Club de Tenis. They maintain third place with 5-0 record behind leader Univ. San Simon. Orca at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Club de Tenis will play against Carl A-Z (#5) in Oruro in the next round. Orca will play against La Salle and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last game of round 9 Bolmar was destroyed by Uriona on the opponent's court 95-74.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals by Betcy Campos of Uriona.
