Americana clinch Paulista League title - Nov 27, 2013

Americana are the Paulista League champions. They swept the Final series against Sao Jose.
Americana claimed back-to-back victories at home court to open the series. They earned a tough 63:59 win in the opening game. Americana followed with a 69:53 victory in the second clash.
The decisive third game was hosted by Sao Jose. Americana set the tone early in the encounter. The visitors jumped to a 19:12 lead after ten minutes. Sao Jose picked up the tempo in the second term. The hosts dropped 26 points and leveled things up at 38. But Americana were back in the drivers seat in the third quarter. The visitors went on an 18:12 run to surge ahead. They followed with a 20:13 rally in the final period and sealed the win at the end. Clarissa dos Santos stepped up with 16 points and 8 rebounds to pace the winners. Gilmara Justino had 15 points for the champions. Karina Jacob answered with 12 points and 6 boards for Sao Jose. Luana de Souza had 10 points in the defeat.
