Osasco clinched Liga Ouro title. They nipped Cruzeiro in the decisive fifth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. Cruzeiro was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-23 charge of Osasco, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Anthony Harris (191-1997, college: Chicago St.) stepped up and scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and point guard Jean Oliveira (177-2001) chipped in 19 points. Point guard Cassiano Bueno (189-1997) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Alexandre Ludwing (207-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cruzeiro's coach Thiago Perez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
