LDB U20 is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 3 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Rio Claro (4-1) in Sao Paulo on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Caxias do Sul (5-0) 70-56. Caxias do Sul outrebounded Rio Claro 48-28 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Nata Freitas (204-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Tiago Marques (191) helped adding 12 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Enzo Marques (-2006) with 19 points and 4 assists. Rio Claro's coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caxias do Sul is looking forward to face Campo Mourao (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rio Claro will play against Cruzeiro (#13) in Belo Horizonte and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in Sao Paulo. Corinthians (5-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging Minas (3-2) 67-66 on Tuesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for forward Luiggi Fachin (200-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Lucas Cardoso accounted for 10 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Fernando Fernandes (196-2005) came up with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for Minas in the defeat. Corinthians will play against Cearense (#22) in Fortaleza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Minas will play at home against Osasco (#20) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: Coritiba lost to Paulistano on the opponent's court 46-87. Osasco was outscored by Viva Vida in a home game 53-96. Botafogo rolled over Uniao Corinthians on the road 86-62. Pato crushed Flamengo on its own court 86-66. Brasilia was beaten by Campo Mourao in a road game 92-83. SESI Franca won against Fluminense at home 75-58. Winless UniFacisa lost to undefeated Sao Jose on the opponent's court 55-97. Pinheiros rolled over Cearense in a home game 98-54. Vasco/Tijuca was defeated by Mogi on the road 71-68.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 19 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by Gabriel Vitoriano of Mogi.



Bauru - Cruzeiro 79-81:
A very close game took place in Bauru between Cruzeiro and Bauru. Cruzeiro (2-3) got a very close victory on the road over Bauru (2-3). Cruzeiro managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 in the game for the thirteenth place. Cruzeiro looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
