Leonardo Meindl is a newcomer at Obradoiro

Monbus Obradoiro CAB Santiago de Compostela (Primera FEB) added 33-year-old Brazilian international small forward Leonardo Meindl (201cm-100kg-1993) to their roster for the 2026-27 season. He played last season at Longevida San Pablo Burgos in the Liga Endesa, where he averaged 10.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.9apg, and 1.0spg in 32 games. Meindl is expected to have more playing time in Primera FEB, making it a better match for him.
He has also been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. Meindl has regularly played for the Brazilian senior team since 2014 and previously for the University National Team in 2013.
He also represented Brazil at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 9 points per game and had 5.3 rebounds per game.
Meindl is a highly experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) in five different countries. He has played previously in Japan (Alvark), Romania (Cluj Napoca), Brazil (Vivo/Franca, Paschoalotto/Bauru, Paulistano, and Sao Paulo), Spain (Fuenlabrada and Oviedo), and the NBA Summer League (Phoenix Suns).
Meindl's team was the regular season runner-up in the Japanese League Group Central in 2025. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish League Honorable Mention in 2022.
