The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sao Paulo: Corinthians (#1) and Pinheiros (#7). Pinheiros was crushed at home by 18 points 70-88 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Corinthians made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Pinheiros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Victor Leal (202-1996) who scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Victao Camilo (203-1997) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Grigor Batista (205-2005) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Paulistano was defeated at home 74-78 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a good game for international guard Reynan Dos Santos (192-2004) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 6 rebounds. David Jackson contributed with 12 points for the winners. The former international center Maique Tavares (211-1993) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Paulistano. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
The game in Osasco supposed to be also quite interesting. Paschoalotto/Bauru (2-1) played at the court of Osasco (0-3). Paschoalotto/Bauru smashed Osasco 91-64 on Thursday. It was a great evening for Anderson Rodrigues who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Felipe Alves with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Osasco's coach Marcio Kanthack gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
In the last game of round 3 winless Sao Jose lost to undefeated Mogi in Mogi das Cruzes 67-101.
