Georginho de Paula claims Brazilian Paulista Hoops Agents weekly honour

International Point guard Georginho de Paula (197-PG-1996) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Mogi das Cruzes Basquete and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Paulista Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 30-year old playmaker had the game-high 20 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Mogi in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Sao Jose (#8, 0-3) with 34-point margin 101-67. Mogi maintains the 2nd position in Brazilian Paulista. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Mogi already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. de Paula turned to be Mogi's top player in his first season with the team. de Paula has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 14.7ppg), assists (3rd best: 5.7apg) and averages solid 1.3bpg,53.8% FGP and 53.3% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Anderson Rodrigues (207-PF-1997) of Zopone/ Gali/ Unimed/Bauru Basket. Rodrigues impressed basketball fans with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led Paschoalotto/Bauru to another comfortable win outscoring Osasco (0-3) 91-64. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Rodrigues is a newcomer at Bauru and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Felipe Alves (2004) of Basket Osasco (#6). Alves scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Alves' great performance the Osasco lost 64-91 to Bauru (#4, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Osasco can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. In 3 games in Brazil he scored 9.7ppg.
