Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league's leader Mogi (6-1) against second ranked Vivo/Franca (6-1) 86-78 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Mogi. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard David Jackson (192-1982, college: Penn State) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Vinicius dos Santos (187-2006) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Vivo/Franca's coach Helinho Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International guard Daniel Von Haydin (195-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for Mogi. Sesi/Franca keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Mogi.
Important game to mention about took place in Sao Jose. Seventh ranked Pinheiros (2-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Sao Jose (2-5) 87-85 in the fight for the fifth place. It was a great evening for power forward Murilo Alves (208-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Danillo Fortunato helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Pinheiros' coach Gustavo Conti allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Jackson Oliveira (184-2006) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Pinheiros moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Paulistano and Sao Jose.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (4-3) against fourth ranked Corinthians (5-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Paschoalotto/Bauru was defeated by Corinthians in a tough game in Sao Paulo 86-94. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. It was an exceptional evening for Victao Camilo who led the winners and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Anthony Harris came up with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for Bauru in the defeat. Corinthians moved-up to third place. Bauru at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.

In the last game of round 7 bottom-ranked Osasco beat Paulistano on the road 78-70.



Paulistano - Osasco 70-78:
There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Osasco (1-6) beat 5th ranked Paulistano (2-5) in Sao Paulo 78-70 on Wednesday. Osasco looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Jamison Costa (198-2000) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Guilherme Lessa (179-1995) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Swingman Anderson Barbosa (192-2000) came up with 10 points and 5 assists and guard Lucas Avanso (183) added 9 points respectively for Paulistano in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Osasco maintains eighth place with 1-6 record. It was Paulistano's third loss in a row. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Pinheiros and Sao Jose.

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (4-3) against fourth ranked Corinthians (5-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Paschoalotto/Bauru was defeated by Corinthians in a tough game in Sao Paulo 86-94. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Paschoalotto/Bauru. Corinthians shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Victao Camilo (203-1997) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. ex-international point guard Elio Corazza (195-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) accounted for 6 points and 16 assists for the winning side. American guard Anthony Harris (191-1997, college: Chicago St.) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Anderson Rodrigues (207-1997) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Bauru in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Corinthians moved-up to third place. Bauru at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost.
