The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Pinheiros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pinheiros defeated 7th ranked Caxias do Sul in Sao Paulo 70-66. Pinheiros had a 36-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Caxias do Sul helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Lucca Boracina (186-2007) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Gabriel Caldeira (185-2004) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Lucas Nakazawa (180-2005) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for Caxias do Sul. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pinheiros (12-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Corinthians and Paulistano. Caxias do Sul at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with SESI Franca. Caxias do Sul will play next round against SESI Franca trying to get back on the winning streak. Pinheiros will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sao Jose at home.
LDB U20 top team - Paulistano (12-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Pato (7-6) in Sao Paulo 76-62. It was a great evening for guard Vitor Silva (188-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Joao Nickel helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side swingman Henrique Da Silva (190-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Pato's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Paulistano. They maintain first place with 12-1 record, which they share with Corinthians and Pinheiros. Pato lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Paulistano's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena Corinthians.
A very close game took place in Rio de Janeiro between Flamengo and Campo Mourao. Eighth ranked Flamengo (9-5) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked Campo Mourao (7-7). Flamengo managed to escape with a 2-point win 86-84 on Monday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Bruno Gusmao who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Isaac Oliveira came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for Campo Mourao in the defeat. Flamengo maintains eighth place with 9-5 record. Loser Campo Mourao dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Mogi smashed Cruzeiro on the road 114-82. Sao Jose won against SESI Franca on its own court 77-68. Bauru managed to outperform Botafogo in a road game 69-60. Rio Claro recorded a loss to Fluminense at home 69-75. Minas was defeated by Corinthians on the opponent's court 71-63.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Lucas Cardoso of Corinthians.



Cruzeiro - Mogi 82-114:
No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Mogi (8-6) crushed 15th ranked Cruzeiro (5-9) in Belo Horizonte 114-82 on Monday. Mogi dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cruzeiro's 30. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Cruzeiro's players. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Wendell Vasconcelos (180-2007) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 6 assists. Guard Gabriel Pedroso (193-2007) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. Five Mogi players scored in double figures. Guard Icaro Almeida (191-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Nicolas da Silva (205-2004) added 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) respectively for Cruzeiro in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mogi. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Rio Claro and Fluminense. Cruzeiro lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with nine games lost.

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Franca (9-4) lost on the road to fourth ranked Sao Jose (11-2) 77-68 on Monday. Sao Jose forced 20 SESI Franca turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Jonathan Moreira (186-2006) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Center Isaque Duarte (204-2006) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Five Sao Jose players scored in double figures. Guard Hugo Nicolini (186-2007) came up with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Kelwin Abreu (200-2008) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for SESI Franca in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sao Jose maintains fourth place with 11-2 record. Loser Franca keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Caxias do Sul. Sao Jose will meet league's leader Pinheiros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SESI Franca will play against Caxias do Sul (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
