Brazilian LDB U20 round 20 best performance: Lucas Nakazawa

Guard Lucas Nakazawa (180-G-2005) had a very impressive game in the last round for Caxias do Sul BasqueteTriches U20 team, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 21-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed SESI Franca (#7, 9-5) with 17-point margin 72-55. Caxias do Sul maintains the 6th position in Brazilian LDB U20. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caxias do Sul will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. Nakazawa turned to be Caxias do Sul's top player in his first season with the team. Lucas Nakazawa has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 52.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Matheus Monteiro (177-G-2007) of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. Monteiro had a very good evening with 27 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Corinthians to edge the lower-ranked Pato (#13, 7-7) 92-86. Despite this victory Corinthians slide down in the standings to 4th position. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Monteiro is a newcomer at Corinthians, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Bruno Ribeiro (199-F-2005) of Minas Tenis Clube Belo Horizon. U20 team (#5). Ribeiro scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Minas, leading his team to a 78-70 win against the higher-ranked Paulistano (#1, 13-1). Minas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 3 lost games. Ribeiro has a very solid season. In 15 games in Brazil he scored 13.8ppg. He also has 5.9rpg and a FGP of 51.1%.
