Ineidis Casanova

UNINASSAU/America de Recife (LBF) inked 29-year old Cuban international point guard Ineidis Casanova (165-88, agency: Pro Sports). She played most recently at Maranhao in the LBF. In 17 games she averaged 14.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.4apg and 3.2spg last season. Casanova helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very good season in her career as she was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian LBF Defensive Player of the Year, selected to All-Imports Team and selected to 2nd Team.
Among other achievements she played in the final of Cuban Liga Superior in 2013. Casanova received also Latinbasket.com All-Cuban Liga Superior Player of the Year award back in 2010.
She represented Cuba at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 10.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 44.1%, 3PT: 44.4%, FT: 50.0%.
Casanova has played also professionally in Cuba (Santiago de Cuba).
