Paulistano/Unimed Sao Paolo (NBB) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old Brazilian international point guard Georginho de Paula (195-96). It is actually his comeback to Paulistano as he has played here before. de Paula played most recently at Houston Rockets in the NBA. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in G League Soutwest Division. de Paula also played for Rio Grande Valley Vipers in U.S. League that season. But in 10 games he recorded just 1.6ppg last season.
de Paula has been also a member of Brazilian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Brazilian senior team since 2017 and previously for U18 National Team in 2014.
de Paula represented Brazil at the South American Championships U17 in Salto (Uruguay) five years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 8.7ppg, 5.2rpg, Assists-3 (4.3apg), 2.0spg, FGP: 47.6%, 3PT: 31.3%, FT: 68.0%.
de Paula has played previously for Pinheiros.
