The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Liga Sorocaba (2-1) in Sao Paulo on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Vivo/Franca (3-0) 63-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Liga Sorocaba. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Liga Sorocaba 41-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international forward Lucas Silva (209-95) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Andre Bresolin (195-87) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-94, college: Mount Olive) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vivo/Franca have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bauru. Liga Sorocaba at the other side keeps the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Paulistano and Sao Jose. Vivo/Franca's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Paulistano.

It was a good game for international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Luis Gustavo de Oliveira contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Douglas Nunes (208-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for Sao Jose. Paschoalotto/Bauru have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record, which they share with Franca. Sao Jose at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with L.Sorocaba and Paulistano. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Pinheiros (#3) in Sao Paulo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sao Jose will have a break next round.

Paulistano moved-up to fourth place, which they share with L.Sorocaba and Sao Jose. America at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost.
