Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for fifth-ranked Paulistano as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Paulistano defeated 8th ranked Corinthians in Sao Paulo 82-78. They outrebounded Corinthians 38-23 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Yago Santos (178-99) chipped in 13 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Peruvian point guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) who recorded 26 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Paulistano have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Corinthians at the other side dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Corinthians will play next round against strong Flamengo trying to get back on the winning streak. Paulistano will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Brasilia on the road.
The game in Sao Paulo was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Minas (5-8) played at the court of eighth ranked Corinthians (6-8). Corinthians defeated Minas 97-82. It was a good game for the former international Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Kyle Fuller contributed with 24 points for the winners. Wesley Ferreira (201-95) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds for Minas. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corinthians moved-up to seventh place. Minas at the other side dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Corinthians will play against higher ranked Flamengo (#4) in Rio de Janeiro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Minas will play on the road against Pinheiros (#3) in Sao Paulo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Aldeota was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Paulistano (11-4) played at the court of 8th ranked SKY/Basquete (5-9). Paulistano defeated SKY/Basquete 77-65 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SKY/Basquete. It was a great evening for Guilherme Hubner who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. The best for the losing side was Felipe Ribeiro with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Paulistano have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser SKY/Basquete dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Bauru and Sao Jose. Paulistano will meet bottom-ranked Brasilia (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SKY/Basquete will play against Paschoalotto/Bauru (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 15 Sao Jose was defeated by Mogi in Mogi das Cruzes 88-82. Vasco Da G. was beaten by Bauru at home 82-88.

There was no surprise in Mogi das Cruzes where 8th ranked Sao Jose (5-9) was defeated by fifth ranked Mogi (10-4) 88-82 on Monday. Mogi looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mogi made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Joao-Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Luis-Felipe Gruber (206-85) helped adding 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. The best for the losing side was Argentinian point guard Fabian Sahdi (186-89) with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 15 assists and center Rafael Rodrigues (213-87) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mogi maintains fifth place with 10-4 record. Loser Sao Jose dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with B.Cearense and Bauru. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
