Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Eighth-ranked Corinthians (6-10) gave a tough game to first ranked Pinheiros (13-3) in Sao Paulo on Wednesday. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected much easier game. 29 personal fouls committed by Corinthians helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Betinho Nardi-Duarte (195-88) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and the former international forward Marcus-Vinicius Toledo (201-86) chipped in 7 points and 13 rebounds. American-Peruvian point guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) responded with 32 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Corinthians' coach Bruno Savignani tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pinheiros have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Despite that victory Pinheiros went down to second position due to points difference. Corinthians at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Minas and Sao Jose. Pinheiros are looking forward to face Botafogo F.R. (#7) in Rio de Janeiro in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Corinthians will have a break next round.
Seventh-ranked Botafogo F.R. (6-9) gave a tough game to third ranked Vivo/Franca (13-2) in Rio de Janeiro. The visitors from Sao Paulo managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected much easier game. International forward Lucas Silva (209-95) nailed 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and David Jackson accounted for 17 points. Forward Arthur Bernardi (206-90, college: Houston Baptist) came up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Botafogo F.R. in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vivo/Franca. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Botafogo F.R. lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. Vivo/Franca will play against bottom-ranked Brasilia (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Botafogo F.R. will play against the league's second-placed Pinheiros (#2) in Sao Paulo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
12th ranked SKY/Basquete (5-12) was defeated at home by second ranked Mogi (13-4) with the biggest margin this round 73-60 on Thursday night. The best player for the winners was Guilherme Pereira who scored 21 points. Felipe Ribeiro produced 17 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mogi. Despite that victory Mogi went down to third position due to points difference. SKY/Basquete lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth place with 12 games lost. Mogi will meet at home Flamengo (#5) in the next round. SKY/Basquete will play against Vasco Da G. (#11) in Rio de Janeiro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 17: Mogi won against Brasilia on the opponent's court 80-76. Minas unfortunately lost to Sao Jose in a home game 75-80. Franca managed to beat Vasco Da G. on the road 84-78. Flamengo defeated Sao Jose on its own court 96-83. Minas beat Joinville in Belo Horizonte 89-80.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 26 points and 6 rebounds by Dominique Coleman of Minas.
