   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international point guard Marcelinho Huertas (191-83, currently plays in Euroleague). He could not help Baskonia (11-12) to beat FC Barcelona (14-9). Huertas scored 7 points and added 6 assists in 18 minutes on the court. Baskonia lost 67-77 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) FC Barcelona. This year Huertas averages: 7.2ppg, 1.3rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 56.3%(49-87), 3FGP: 45.5%(15-33) and FT: 84.6% in 23 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Brazilian and Italian. Huertas is currently a member of the Brazilian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international center Nene Hilario (211-82, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to a Houston Rockets' victory against the Golden State Warriors (43-17) 118-112 in the NBA last Saturday. Hilario scored 8 points. The Houston Rockets have 35-25 record this season. Hilario's overall stats this year are: 3.9ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 57.5%(46-80) and FT: 74.3%. He played for the Brazilian national team in 2016.

   #3. The Brazilian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international power forward Cristiano Felicio (206-92, college: Oregon, currently plays in NBA). Felicio helped Chicago Bulls win their game against the Boston Celtics (37-23) 126-116 in the NBA on Saturday night. He scored 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 15 minutes. The Chicago Bulls have not so impressive 16-45 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Felicio's overall stats are: 3.2ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 55.7%(49-88) and FT: 67.6% in 38 games. Former Clube de Regatas do Flamengo starter played for the Brazilian national team three years ago.

   #4. Small forward Bruno Caboclo (206-95, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the Memphis Grizzlies in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers (34-28) in the NBA. He scored 8 points. The Memphis Grizzlies (24-38) were defeated 112-106 in Los Angeles by the Clippers. It was Grizzlies' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Caboclo's total stats this season are: 6.2ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.2bpg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team back in 2017.

Uchendu was MVP of the game. He scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 26 minutes. Leyma Basquet Coruna (9-14) is placed 12th in the LEB Gold. This year Uchendu's total stats are: 7.1ppg and 6.0rpg in 23 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Nigerian. Uchendu plays currently for the Brazilian U21 national team.

Forward Leonardo Demetrio (208-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for RETAbet BB (15-8) in their game against Carramimbre (13-10) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Demetrio scored 9 points in 22 minutes. But RETAbet BB lost 64-79 in Valladolid to the much lower-ranked (#9) Carramimbre. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Demetrio has averaged so far 8.3ppg and 4.7rpg in 19 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Brazilian senior team three years ago.

   #7. Former international point guard Raul Neto (185-92, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the Utah Jazz (33-26) in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-21) in the NBA. Neto cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. The Utah Jazz (33-26) was edged 148-147 at home by the Thunder. It's Neto's fourth season with the team. Neto has averaged so far 4.7ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.3apg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team three years ago.

Forward Tulio Da Silva (201-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped Missouri St. win their game against the Indiana State University (3-3) 67-61 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Da Silva had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds in 32 minutes. The Missouri State University has rather weak 2-4 conference record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Da Silva's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 14.7ppg and 7.5rpg in 24 games. Da Silva used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team back in 2014.

Former U18 international center Lucas Siewert (202-97, currently studies in the States) couldn't help the Colorado (1-4) in their game against the The University of Washington (5-0) in the NCAA. He recorded only 4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. his team was defeated 64-55 on their home court in Boulder by the The University of Washington. There are only three games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Siewert has relatively solid stats: 10.7ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.6apg. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team five years ago.

   #10. Center Felipe Braga (213-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Un.Oviedo (6-12) in their last game. Despite Braga's very good performance the 12th-placed Un.Oviedo (6-12) lost 65-71 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#11) Naron in the Group A-B. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in 40 minutes. It was Un.Oviedo's fourth consecutive loss in a row. It's Braga's first season with the team. Braga has reliable stats this year: 11.9ppg, 12.9rpg, 1.2apg and 2.6bpg in 10 games. He is a former U19 international player as six years ago he still played for the Brazilian national team.

   #11. Former U18 international forward Rafael Monteiro (193-98, currently plays in NCAA2) helped Augusta University win their game against the Francis Marion University 75-70 in the NCAA2 last Wednesday. He scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Monteiro averaged so far 13.5ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.3apg. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team three years ago.

   #12. Former U17 international forward Paulo Camilo (201-96, currently plays in NCAA2) couldn't help the Quincy University (2-5) in their last game. Despite Camilo's good performance his team was badly defeated 92-76 in Kirksville by the Truman State University. He scored 10 points in only 12 minutes. Camilo has averaged so far 2.3ppg and 1.9rpg in 15 games. He used to play for the Brazilian U17 national team back in 2013.

   #13. Former international guard Carlos Cobos (193-88, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help CB Granada in their game against Oviedo CB in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Cobos scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 20 points 76-56. Cobos has averaged so far 7.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3apg. He used to play for the Brazilian national team nine years ago.

   #14. Former U18 international power forward Victor Bafutto (208-98, is currently at the American university) managed to help Mercer University in a victory against the Univ.of Tennessee - Chattanooga 74-69 in the NCAA last Saturday. Bafutto recorded 5 points in 10 minutes. Bafutto has averaged so far 2.6ppg and 1.7rpg in 26 games. He used to play for the Brazilian U18 national team back in 2016.

   #15. Former U19 international forward Dimitris Sousa (198-94, college: Virginia-Wise, currently plays in Italy) helped Moncada AGR win their game against the seventh-ranked Benacquista LT 87-80 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) on Monday night. Sousa scored only 3 points. Sousa has averaged so far 8.6ppg and 3.0rpg. He used to play for the Brazilian U19 national team ten years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Brazilian passport but never been selected to any of Brazilian national teams:

   #1. Oscar Da Silva (207-PF-98, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA could not help the Stanford (2-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance his team was badly defeated 80-62 at home by the Arizona State University. Da Silva recorded 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. There are only three games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Da Silva has averaged so far 9.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2bpg. He has a dual citizenship: German and Brazilian. Despite Da Silva's Brazilian passport, he previously played for the German U19 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Brazilian team.

   #2. Ayan Carvalho (196-G/F-97, college: Temple, currently plays in Argentina) was the major contributor in a 2-point Deportivo Viedma's victory against the fourth-ranked Racing Chivilcoy (16-13) 74-72 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) on Saturday night. Carvalho scored 13 points and had 3 steals. Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro (18-11) is placed first in South - South group. Carvalho has averaged so far 8.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Brazilian and Argentinian. Despite Carvalho's Brazilian nationality, he previously played for the Argentinian university national team and probably cannot be called to the Brazilian team.

   #3. Felipe Dos Anjos (218-C-98, currently plays in Spain) led Melilla Baloncesto to a victory against the 13th-ranked Castello (9-14) 81-73 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. Dos Anjos scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes. Melilla Baloncesto (15-8) is placed third in the LEB Gold. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Dos Anjos has averaged so far 9.1ppg and 5.2rpg in 20 games he played so far.

   #4. Feliciano Perez (210-C-90, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to a Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza's victory against the eighth-ranked Gimnasia LP (9-19) 87-77 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) last Saturday. Perez recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 13 rebounds. Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza (15-14) is placed second in South - South group. It was Centro Deportivo Rivadavia de Mendoza's first victory after three consecutive loses. Perez has averaged so far 9.3ppg and 7.9rpg.

   #5. Gabriel De Oliveira (206-PF-97, currently plays in Germany) helped Iserlohn win their game against the fourth-ranked Oldenburg (12-10) 101-97 in the German ProB (third division) on Saturday night. He recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. Iserlohn Kangaroos (12-10) is placed fifth in North group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. De Oliveira is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his sixth year in Iserlohn's roster. De Oliveira averaged so far 10.5ppg and 5.3rpg in 22 games. He has both Brazilian and German nationalities.

   #6. Daniel Severo (201-F-94, currently plays in NCAA2) managed to help Texas A&M University - Kingsville in a victory against the Western New Mexico University crushing them 78-47 in the NCAA2 last Saturday. Severo scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. He has averaged so far 4.1ppg and 2.8rpg in 12 games.

   #7. Tim Soares (208-C, currently plays in NAIA) helped The Master's College, CA win their game against the Life Pacific College crushing them 98-74 in the NAIA on Thursday night. Soares scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He averaged so far 14.8ppg, 9.2rpg and 1.9bpg. Soares is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Brazil.

   #8. Renato Ribeiro (190-F-95, currently plays in Portugal) helped Dragon Force win their game against the leader Ginasio 87-76 in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) in Sunday night's game. Ribeiro scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 20 minutes. He has averaged so far 7.3ppg and 4.2rpg in 15 games.

Homentmen Beirut (LBL) signed 32-year old Lebanese/Brazilian center Thiago Makhlouf (210-87). Moutahed. In 9 LBL games he had just 2.2ppg and 2.1rpg last season.
